non event like when Geraldo opened Al Capone's secret vault. Didn't seem like much there there to me.

(23,295 posts)110%. The only thing I thought might be intriguing is that now the window might be open for Stormy to get out of her NDA and if she is successful in that effort, imagine how many women in the Tangeranus past will come forward. Open the floodgates! Other than that, it was a boring interview.

(47,431 posts)I half listened to that and it appeared that they had sex just one time - hardly a mistress. And then she told a magazine? Why? Who would have been interested? He was just a "celebrity" then..
And... we really don't know whether he knew about the hush money. Edwards got a supporter to pay.

(14,272 posts)But there is no physical evidence that any of this happened. Nothing was said that would change the mind of a hard core Trumpian. Hell, he was caught dead to rights on the Access Hollywood tape and that galvanized his supporters - the opposite reaction you would expect from a reality based community.
If his followers believe Sandy Hook was a false flag, that President Obama was not a citizen and that Hillary Clinton ran a child sex ring out of a pizza shop then they have no problem discounting Stormy Daniels.

(108,955 posts)I think it has something to do with other women who hold NDA's -- women with REAL stories to tell. DT doesn't want them to get the idea that they could come forward without ruining their lives.
For example, a woman named Katie Johnson who had been suing Trump for raping her as a 13 year old -- and withdrew the lawsuit a few days before the election. Did he buy her off, too?

Just a coincidence? Not IMO.

(1,294 posts)Geraldo opened a safe to great fanfare with NOTHING.
This was an actual woman who detailed her fling with an actual dude who is now our president. The bullying, threats of violence, etc. are all playing into the narrative of Trump the outlaw who is now obstructing justice on a daily basis.
The interview was one more nice piece in a mosaic that's coming together.

(51,508 posts)Not only is it a blatant campaign finance violation, and his attempts to shut up witnesses dangerous for our democracy, but it shows he will do anything to cover up dirt from his past. You know, like agree to drop sanctions against an enemy of the US. This is quite a piece of corroborating evidence in the Russia probe.

But they help us chip away at that rock. Ultimately the American people will tire of the corrupt circus and bring Trump down.

I watched Interview, and only confirmed that the guy in WH is one disgusting dirty old man; podrido, rotten to the core, a person who has no moral authority.

(6,913 posts)We haven't had a TV since the signal went from analog to digital. Any time I see corporate news I get the heebie geebies. Anderson Cooper ain't all that.
Whatever he and Stormy did, he's done ten times worse since, in full view of all these talking fuckheads.
There are a few good journalists still. But not enough to make me buy a TV and Cable TV service.

I don't call that "nothing," and I don't think any mother alive would either. At that point she had a choice: to live the rest of her life in fear of ever speaking another word, or to get her own lawyer and tell all.
Stormy is a tough transactional woman, and she seems to have her own integrity. She refuses to be called a victim, and she refuses to be victimized, either.
*That is, Trump or his lawyer sent the thug. But the lawyer would not have done this without tacit permission from his client.

(5,591 posts)Mind as a country, but obliterating our soul.
(Just one womans opinion follows, usual warning and disclaimer)
We have systematically been pin-prick tortured with his disgusting character and his enablers human indecency for so long, we are in danger of becoming walking Novocain zombies.
This wretched male and his relentlessly vile character is ripping our country to shreds and so far, he has been championed by the most drippingly foul supporters and Republican Party in our recent history.
Reality TV mentality is a reeking disease in the nation. It, along with insidious Russian involvement in overtaking our country, is killing us, inch by inch.
We must NOT allow this lying and treachery to be normalized for one second more. Weve already lost enough flesh thank-you.
This interview was not an indictment or statement about improper or off color sexual behavior though that will undoubtedly be the skeevy take-away (and queue up the diversionary attacks on Clinton and more general attacks on women).
This is an indictment on the lip curling corruption and anti-humanity agenda of the Republican Party, a sneeringly vile, twisted narcissist man, his power obsessed enablers and its acceptance at all the basest levels.
(End of soapbox/rant, one opinion)
Yes, it matters.
Non-event? ..it damned well better not be treated as one or we will be aiding and abetting our further demise.
That is all.

(10,115 posts)I would think that this is something that could be narrowed down as to who this person is. It probably is someone used for just this type of work. How many people around the trump sphere would be hired/asked to perform this line of work? His long time body guard or attorney would surely know who this is. And this being a crime could be investigated.
