How Losing the House Could Help Trump In 2020

March 28, 2018 at 9:45 am EDT By Taegan Goddard

Stu Rothenberg: “Republican strategists from both the populist and establishment wings of the party agree that losing the House in November would not necessarily be a terrible thing for Trump’s 2020 re-election bid.”

“While control of that chamber would give Democrats a platform from which to investigate the president, his family and the entire administration, it would also give Trump something he desperately needs: a very visible enemy.”

“Trump supporters see House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi as an ideal adversary — a far-left, San Francisco elitist with poll numbers as bad as or worse than the president’s.”

Why does media constantly twist Democratic victories into losses or GOPee wins? It's why I don't watch Charlie Toad anymore.

He can say right now that Nancy Pelosi is the cause of all of their problems, including a a hangnail or papercut, and they would believe him.

Crom forbid that Democrats have a platform from which to investigate the president, his family and the entire administration. Best we don't know anything about that, and let the past be past.

I have two things to say about that: 1. Puh. (b) Lease.
