Western Michigan University Cooley Law School is an American Bar Association accredited law school. WMU-Cooley has four campuses. Its main campus is in Lansing, Michigan and its satellite campuses are in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Auburn Hills, Michigan, and Tampa, Florida.[3][4] First year courses may be taken at Western Michigan University's Kalamazoo campus.[5]
An affiliation between Cooley and Western Michigan University went into effect on August 13, 2014.
According to Cooley's ABA required disclosures, only 27.4% of graduates from the class of 2015 obtained full-time, long term, bar passage required employment 9 months after graduation.[6] 23.8% of graduates were unemployed 9 months after graduation.[7] Only 51.86% of graduates managed to pass a state bar exam in 2015, a requirement to practice law.[8] In 2017, the school was one of ten American law schools found to be out of compliance with the American Bar Association's requirement that schools only admit students who appear capable of earning a J.D. degree and passing the bar examination.[9] The school was recently ranked the worst law school in the country by Above the Law.[10]

(4,533 posts)I went to elite schools but have seen fabulous lawyers who came from the most modest backgrounds. I once worked with a lawyer from a lowly background who seemed to just hypnotize jurors. He never lost. I would pick him over any lawyer on earth if jurors were involved.

I wasn't attending a prestigious school, but it wasn't shabby either. Nevertheless, we weren't supposed to win.

(10,123 posts)Long story short (& posted elsewhere), I think that is a fairly major screw up in that agreement and could well result in the contract being declared null and void.
His next major screw up in this situation with Stormy was maintaining he and he alone paid Stormy. As a candidate, Trump can throw whatever dough he wants at his campaign. With Cohen throwing $130,000 at Stormy with his own money, that appears to be a FEC crime/violation. That crime may void the contract - and it was totally necessary because Trump could have paid legally. And it may jeopardize Cohen's ability to practice law and defend Trump (which might be a blessing for Trump).
The third major stupid error was Cohen moving the case to Federal court because that exposes Trump to being deposed when it didn't or did not as easily at the state level. Now they probably have to give Stormy a mountain of dough to avoid that embarrassment.
As this clown appears to have handled the other NDAs for Trump, this may be just the tip of the iceberg of legal trouble for Trump from these women.
I realize a bunch of lawyers have left Trump but this looks like one Trump should want to see go - for his own good.
