Actual = you (Cohen) are acting on behalf of principal (Trump) within the parameters authorized by the principal. E.g. Trump tells Cohen to negotiate enter a contract on his behalf.

Apparent = the principal's (Trump's) acts gave the other party (Daniels) reason to believe you (Cohen) had the principal's approval. E.g. Trump tells Daniels, "Talk to Cohen to work things out." Even if Trump never told Cohen specifically what to do, he made Daniels think Cohen was acting on his behalf.
