Stay classy.

And have been doing it for 40+ years. Properly written, you can rip shreds out of a company or product and get a good response.

A) without being shrill or angry, succinctly state your complaint.

B) emphasize any long-term association w/company or product, add appropriate praise if sincere.

C) if possible, keep 1st paragraph (incorporating A above) light and use humor.

That is typical of the selfishness behavior or republicans. Screw everyone until they are personally impacted.

"Jeffrey Hart, the faculty adviser for The Dartmouth Review described Ingraham as having "the most extreme anti-homosexual views imaginable", claiming "she went so far as to avoid a local eatery where she feared the waiters were homosexual."[8] In 1997, she wrote an essay in The Washington Post in which she stated that she changed her views on homosexuality after witnessing "the dignity, fidelity, and courage" with which her gay brother Curtis and his partner coped with AIDS. Ingraham has stated that she supports civil unions, but still believes that marriage "is between a man and a woman".[9]"

There is a lot of luck involved, even with great SATs and excellent GPAs, and the odds are even more difficult for thos applying from out of state.

Cal Poly is a great school. They had about 65000 applying for admission where only about 5200 freshmen were accepted, so it is no small feat to get accepted there.

Those attacking the people who were on the Parkland campus during the mass murder, calling them liars and distorting facts are the scum of the earth, and there is no doubt where it is coming from.

I had to wait it out for two years in a state college before transferring to UCLA. It may still be the best way to do it, but you don't get those first two years of bonding with campus life. Even the sons and daughters of wealthy alums don't get any preferential treatment.

If David Hogg is set on UCLA, this would be his easiest route. I wish him the best wherever he winds up.

I had a 3.6 GPA and that was nowhere near the freshman cut, and that was awhile ago; it's so competitive now. UCLA undergraduate students are incredibly bright and motivated. In my case, I think the incremental path actually did some good, as the profs in the Cal States are first-rate, and the classes were smaller, although I doubt that's the case now.

Ingraham has always been a standard boilerplate conservative talk show yakker getting her bullet points from the RNC and delivering them in her own smug snarky self-absorbed “I went to Dartmouth but somehow I’m not an Ivy League elitist” fashion. Due to a change in local students getting a higher number, they said that many straight A students are being rejected.

Mr. Hogg was rejected shortly after the shooting and would not have a resume yet.

you could record the closest radio station she’s on using a free trial from ‘apowersoft mac audio recorder’ for instance, or using any of the many recording programs, and then taking the mp3 or other sound file to sonix.ai to get it transcribed for $5/hr. doesn’t take long - just drag the file onto their 'box'

no need to do much listening

you’ll have a list of LOCAL advertisers with their contact info and if you search the transcript for ‘hogg’, which is a very common name all over the country on rw radio, you’ll be able to associate what she says with the advertisers that are sponsoring it, in print, and send it to them in an email that prob has a good chance to reach the owner/boss.

most of them have no clue who she is or that she isn't just some 'political entertainer' getting wild to attract listeners

and there’s about a 1/5 chance or better that that station also depends on a local/state university to keep broadcasting sports on it to help attract the advertisers, most who won’t know shit about ingraham’s show until someone puts in in print in an email along with the ads

. . .i went to a private academy (parochial).

All my classes were accelerated or AP and we had to take 5 "majors". (No gym, although we still had to meet the state requirement by either participating on a sports team or intramurals. I played basketball and jumped in track so i just played flag football in the fall.)

We were graded on 5 point scale too, but the colleges simply took whatever the GPA and multiplied by 4 over 5. Hence, my 4.97 became a 3.98.

They might have done the same thing here, and a 4.2 would become a 3.36, therefore less than 3.4

Now, if he really wants to go there, his leadership skills would seem to easily make up for 0.04 of GPA. Extracurricular activities have been part of the admissions process for practically ever.
