The hypocrisy and two-facedness of Wikileaks clearly knows no bounds:

Here we have Wikileaks complaining that loss of privacy supports totalitarianism and enables psychological control of the masses.

This is the same Wikileaks which:

- leaks documents without redaction, endangering people living in dictatorships
https://www.wired.com/2016/07/wikileaks-officially-lost-moral-high-ground/

- leaks only about some governments, thereby creating an illusion that these are more corrupt than others
http://www.repubblica.it/esteri/2016/12/23/news/assange_wikileaks-154754000/?refresh_ce

- once proposed creating a database that connects all information that exists about you on the internet in one convenient place (full name, internet-aliases, address, occupation...)

https://www.digitaltrends.com/social-media/wikileaks-twitter-database/

Wikileaks on Friday tweeted that it is thinking of building an online database populated with the information of verified Twitter users, including users’ family, job, financial, and housing details. It has since deleted the original tweet, which you can see a screenshot of below.

...

Asked to clarify on what its intentions are, Wikileaks tweeted that is isn’t threatening to dox people, but instead wants “to develop a metric to understand influence networks based on proximity graphs.”

In another, tweet it added: “We are looking for clear discrete (father/shareholding/party membership) variables that can be put into our AI software. Other suggestions?” After facing yet more criticism, it also claimed it is not going to publish addresses, and that LinkedIn, Google, and Facebook already have their own proximity graphs.

So... If Facebook or Google or Cambridge Analytica create a database that robs you of your privacy, that's evil.
If Wikileaks creates such a database, that's not evil.

However, I guess he has to weigh what's more important to him: His desire for freedom of the press in Russia, or his hatred for Hillary Clinton and the US establishment.
