President Trump on Wednesday phoned up actress Roseanne Barr to congratulate her on the huge ratings the premiere of her Roseanne reboot received. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed the phone call, which came less than 24 hours after the premiere of Barrs new show pulled in an estimated 18.2 million viewers. The sitcom about a working-class family returned to ABC after more than two decades off the air, with Barrs character, Roseanne Conner, playing a Trump supporter. Barr has been outspoken about her support for Trump in real life, and she said she wanted the show to highlight the current political differences after Trumps election to provide an accurate portrayal of everyday Americans.
