All these sponsers are abanboning Laura Ingraham, you have to ask yourself why they were sponsoring her hate filled rhetoric in the first place.
Is it just me?

(9,670 posts)Now they're being lauded for acting like adults.
Make a mental note of these corporations for future reference. We are correct to celebrate their departure from LI's and Fox's universe, but they shouldn't have been there in the first place.
Let's be happy that Ingraham is being punished, finally, for her spiteful, uninformed messaging. Let's key on that.
But let's not give any of those companies a pass in the future. They're on probation for me....and I vote with my dollar.

(11,730 posts)Corporations will do what they need to do to maximize profits. They will only stop if their profits are threatened, and will only stop enough to avoid long term backlash.
Corporations pay advertisers and PR firms millions of dollars to make them appear to be "good corporate citizens" but they would advertise on Stormfront if they could get more dollars than they would lose.

(85,986 posts)...aren't restricted to the likes of Ingraham.
You make a good point, though, about the enabling and often compromising force of the advertising market.

Scroll down to see who has recently advertised on his show. A few have bailed, but there are still a LOT!
I don't know if anyone could effectively boycott all these companies. There are at least one hundred.

(17,984 posts)pulling their ads from LI are getting more publicity than they would through the ads themselves. So it's a PR stunt. I just don't know how to effectively bring down the Faux juggernaut. I don't think boycotting a few companies will accomplish much in the long run.
