Cheney was handsome when he was young. Of course, we all change as we age. But Cheney's inner evil came to twist his outer appearance. One has to be very evil indeed to end up looking like Bannon.

Penn is ironic and something of a comedian, too. But the content was serious. Deadly serious.

Will anyone ever set off that fire alarm?

The whole clip is good. But toward the end Penn speculates about what he'd do if he were a news anchor today, instead of an actor.

That reminded me that CBS Nightly News shamed itself again when it kicked Scott Pelley out of the anchor chair, because he was doing a damn good job of nailing the KGOP republican traitors & crooks. They replaced him with a young, "pleasant" upbeat sycophant, Goober Glor, who routinely avoids the hard, ugly truth, normalizes Comrade Casino*, and gives us a Steaming Shithole of feature stories about kangaroos, boy scouts, and grannies crocheting booties. FAIL. Massive FAIL in the face of extreme danger.

* aka Dirty Donny, republican Draft-Dodger-in-Chief
