And the show she's getting, she gets to play KellyAnne Conway.

Roseanne, however, wasn't "rewarded with a show", it was Sarah Gilbert who put it together trying to get a reboot to happen.

It should be noted, however, that while Roseanne is an executive producer on the show, the reboot was put together by Sarah Gilbert (who plays Darlene and is also an executive producer). Whitney Cummings is the show runner, and Norm MacDonald is writing. Cummings and Gilbert are both liberals. MacDonald is an apolitical Canadian. Roseanne's views are very much outnumbered on the series.

With that said, I'm done arguing about this. It's pointless. You're gonna live in your little bubble, not watch it, and complain about it. Me, I'm gonna watch all nine episodes and enjoy them.

Not because of those pictures (which are absolutely deplorable, and so is Roseanne), but because Trump thinks this is his "Trumpster show" about "us", and any win for him *in his head* is not going to be on my viewing dime.

My feeling about the show, as I've mentioned before, but at least my hopes if it remains - is that this will be some form of RESISTANCE AGAINST roseanne and Trump. That's why I was going to watch it again, but changed my mind, because of Trump.

I put this in that category. It does make me uncomfortable, and I think that's the intention. Boundaries are pushed and sometimes they go too far. I think this one does, but I also think there's a bit of "privilege" in feeling free to tell a Jewish satire magazine and a Jewish woman what's appropriate if you're not Jewish. So I won't claim to have an informed opinion about how the people who did this ought to feel nor the people who were targeted.
