of when I was a minor and my father sold my Disney stock because of "insider information" (a friend of his played golf with Card Walker, who was one of the people mismanaging the company before being replaced by Michael Eisner), even though I didn't want to.

My father, who liked investing in petroleum stocks, was very proud of selling my 100 shares of Disney that I had bought for $23/share for $50, and buying Texaco.

On the other hand, if we had held onto the stock as I'd wanted to, with splits and stock-dividends, that 100 shares that he had sold for $5000 would now be 5000 shares at $100/share.
