(58,634 posts)I watched a few episodes back when, but I had no desire to tune in this time. I suspect her numbers will drop off after the newness wears off. The Trumplodytes can have her. I'm not interested.

(1,237 posts)For that smear against the students.

(14,249 posts)And the more obnoxious she's going to become and the more and more ugly and hateful her attitudes and language will get.
At some point, ABC is going to have to cut her loose.

(2,434 posts)not actually in control of the content. Laurie Metcalf is the true force behind the throne and she is the true talent. Second is John Goodman. Sara Gilbert is producing and also has major input. This does not mean I will watch, but it does mean you will not feed the beast if you watch her show. Roseanne was the original creator, so she gets kudos for that from all who surround her, but she is no longer in charge.

(66,310 posts)I will, however, continue to not watch.
I can think of roughly ten million better things to do with my time.
And that's just off the top of my head.

Even back when many were enamored of her and said any rough edges were part of her act I always had the suspicion that the mean hearted Persona was her true self. I guess I was right all along

(51,308 posts)No one knows if youre watching.
I just caught the show after I returned from a camping trip.
It was pretty good. Ill watch again.

(8,168 posts)Only watched due to the novelty of it, however.
I'll likely never see another episode, not that anybody would know as I'm also not a Nielsen house. I could have been as I got an invite last year.

(14,157 posts)if you have a Satellite or Cable box, they know what you are watching. If you are streaming it off Hulu, or the network's app, they know you are watching. Just about everyone is tracked nowadays. Most of the data is closely held. But they know.

(8,445 posts)I kinda get freaked out by how much we're monitored. I went to a restaurant this past weekend. Didn't use my phone at all. As we were driving away I got a notification to review the restaurant.

(8,445 posts)It reminded me of "All In The Family", not because any of the characters are bigoted, but because of the political divide.
I watched the first night. I may or may not watch again.
Sure, Barr is a supporter of 45, but I really don't think that Sara Gilbert and Laurie Metcalf are, and John Goodman sure as hell isn't a supporter of 45. If it turns into Barr's views dominating the show, I won't be interested in watching.
I like reading DU (read much more than I post), but I'll make my own decision about boycotting a sit-com.

(2,841 posts)But I watched the show and I did enjoy it. Like someone else upthread said, it was like a modern day version of "All in the Family" with the political divide and the ridiculousness of families that can't agree on anything. I don't think the ratings will be as high as the premiere was, but it'll live on regardless if people boycott it or not.
That sounds most likely.

(226 posts)Rosanne and Dan have a crisis. It's important and causes enough pain to create a space where Rosanne reconsiders her headstrong beliefs... and she realizes she has been had by Trump. She is shattered by the realization that Trump has fooled her. She Knows she will never admit it to her family, but: ...she vows to revenge the personal betrayal by Trump in.....any ..way ..she ..can. Fade out on her Angry Face.

(9,600 posts)Conservative talk show hosts are hoping that the resurgent popularity of comedian Roseanne Barr will rub off on them, and are scrambling to book her and her conspiracy theories on their shows for a ratings bump.
It wasnt a far leap from past posts when Barr was focused on spreading right-wing conspiracies like this one just last November engaging a deep state conspiracy, she continued. Or post-election, when one of Barrs tweets backed the PizzaGate conspiracy theory which stated some Democrats were part of a sex trafficking ring in the basement of a Washington pizza restaurant.
Conservatives around the country riding the wave of the actresss popularity, Bingras continued. Fox host Sean Hannity, begging for an interview with Barr, even offering for her to host his show.
