If you want to buy a naked Trump statue, get ready: Auction is in May

Ever want a statue of a naked President Trump? Now's your chance.

Julien's Auctions is selling the last standing naked Trump statue May 2, and estimates that it will be sold for between $20,000 and $30,000. According to Julien's Auctions, it is the last of its kind; all the others have been vandalized or destroyed.

The statues first appeared as part of a protest called "The Emperor Has No Balls" by the activist art group INDECLINE in August 2016. They were placed in locations in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle and Cleveland.



The street art auction house sold this particular statue back in October 2016 for $23,000. The owner, whose name has not been made public, has since reconsigned the piece to be auctioned off, since Donald Trump is now president. The investor originally invested in the statue knowing its value would increase if Trump won the election, said Darren Julien, president and CEO of Julien's Auctions.

The statue, which was located on the 4600 block of Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, survived because a nearby store pulled it in off the street to protect it.

The auction will be held at Mana Contemporary in Jersey City, N.J. Mana Contemporary originally commissioned the statues before they were destroyed, Julien said.

Julien's Auctions has buyers interested in bidding on the remaining statue already. It has also gotten calls inquiring about its selling price, Julien said. It cannot be sold privately because the owner commissioned it for auction.

Like by a snake. I saw the front swoop of hay lift and drop like a helicopter trying to lift off while still tethered. He has never trotted up the steps so fast and then quickly turned so the wind would blow the hair/corn silk back down. I can only imagine what was going through that pig head of his.
