How's this for a Presidential scenario, as outlandish as it might be:

Democrats take control of the House of Representatives in November

Nancy Pelosi becomes Speaker of the House

Mueller charges trump, trump resigns or is impeached and convicted, Pence becomes president

Mueller charges Pence of coordination with Russians as head of the transition, Pence resigns or is impeached and convicted, Nancy Pelosi becomes first woman president

Nancy Pelosi nominates Hillary Clinton as Vice President in accordance with the 25th Amendment, Clinton is confirmed by Congress

Nancy Pelosi resigns, Hillary Clinton becomes president

I like it!!!

If a Republican Senate can sit on a Supreme Court nominee, then a Democratic Senate can sit on a VP nominee.

Maybe we should appoint an honorary senator or two to do the sitting...there have got to be some 320-pound NFL defensemen we could hire cheap...

Al Franken should become Speaker if Democrats take back the House. By rules, the Speaker need not be a member of said House.

I think it would be a great idea if Clinton, Franken or Pelosi were the third in line.

Not that I would have a problem with President Pelosi at all!

... a #45 impeachment.

#45 would have to go, that gives us Pence. Assuming Pence goes without a VP, then the next in line is the House Speaker.

If #45 gets impeached and Pence comes in and gets a VP installed before he is kicked out, then the Speaker won't become President. "President Pence"s VP becomes President.

Now if Pence is forced to have a Democratic VP, then a President Hillary Clinton can come about, assuming this Democratic VP is willing to just keep the US Presidential seat warm in time for them to appoint HRC as VP, then resign for HRC to become POTUS.

And Nancy Pelosi could/would be US House Speaker throughout (unless Pence nominates her as his VP... which would then be a tough choice... President Pelosi or President Clinton?)

Democrats take control of both houses of Congress in November.

Mueller finds something so revolting on both Trump and Pence that 20 GOP senators join our side in the impeachment hearings.

We let Pence know that if he chooses Hillary Clinton as his VP and resigns after she's sworn in, she'll pardon him.

Trump is impeached - he won't go quietly - convicted, removed, brought up on charges for all the evil he has done, is convicted, is stripped of his assets, and begins a life term in a privatized prison. His jail job will be to go around the country removing the word "Trump" from buildings which now belong to the federal government.

Pence nominates Hillary VP, resigns, is pardoned, and is named Ambassador to Any Country With Strict Gun Control at least long enough for Trump's supporters to cool off.

Republicans will never cooperate in losing party control of the White House. Not that democrats would either.

So unless we control 2/3rds of the senate, this ain't happening.

1. Dems take the House.

2. Hillary Clinton is selected as Speaker of the House. NOTE: The Speaker does NOT have to be a member of the House. House members are free to choose anyone they want.

3. Trump & Pence are impeached or otherwise removed from office.

4. Hillary Clinton becomes President.

remotely resembling this scenario will occur.

Even if Dems take control of both houses, even if Trump resigns or is impeached or removed via the 25th Amendment, it is not going to happen that Hillary Clinton is going to be installed as VP, and then Pence removed.

Please stop putting forth these juvenile fantasies.

..right wing heads would explode resulting in a real possibility of civil war. We're on tenterhooks right now, as it is. They've gotten used to 30-40 years of the shit they've been doing and while we've generally taken the high road, a situation like that would have to be handled very carefully.

So my heart says great, rub their noses in it, but my head says proceed with caution, awareness and where it is deserved, respect.
