(16,352 posts)I thought about it for a day or two and decided to embrace the bald. The idea of introducing a prescription medication into my system with the risk of the stated side effects, let alone whatever stuff they dont know that comes out down the line, just didnt seem worth it.
I took accutane for awhile as a teen which probably accelerated the hair loss. Theres a shot of me at my senior prom at age 17 with a tiny bald spot. Cured the acne saving me a lifetime of having a pockmarked face (my acne was horrendously bad) but probably played a role in my hair issues. A worthy trade off. Truthfully I dont really miss having to fuss with my hair in the morning. Just buzz it once a week and Im good to go.
