1. I know it isn't popular, but let him try.

Once he does it, there is proof he is obstructing justice. Plus, Mueller is a good soldier, he is watching his flank. He has charges ready in multiple states. This won't be over, it will just be like Nixon's Saturday Night Massacre.

Unless we have a military coup to physically drag trump out of the white house, nothing is going to remove him.

5. Lawyers' ethics require that lawyers refrain from lying to a court.

Sometimes lawyers quit or resign from representing a client if they believe that representing a client will put them in the compromised position of lying in court.

Just a possibility. We can't draw that conclusion from the fact so many lawyers are refusing to continue to represent Trump. But it is one possibility.

I find it hard to believe he has not heard any incriminating words out of Trump's mouth by now.

Notice Cobb just left, after the Mueller question list just surfaced.

Biggest legal case in history, and he "retires" in the middle of it.

More than a possibility that he and Mueller will be talking. Sooner rather than later.

15. and/or Guiliani showing up might have led to a "screw this" attitude.

Trump is doing what he has always done. Pits one lawyer against the other, tries to run the legal stuff by himself, doesn't follow any legal advice, etc.

Ty Cobb today, who else tomorrow?

Oh..Ty Cobb was on the White House payroll, so he at least will be paid.
Trump thought he was being clever to let the Gov. pay Cobb.

He did not know that Cobb was not his personal attorney, that Cobb will have to answer all of Mueller's questions now.

Surely he knows he cannot be Trump's personal lawyer.
If he doesn't know, he is too stupid to do Trump any good, but this guy was supposed to be smart.

And the Constitution says Congress has to stop trump. Republicans are actively helping him commit crimes and treason.
