(65,173 posts)Thanks. I usually get salads from restaurants, and who knows where their romaine came from. Panara Bread at least is taking this seriously. They are offering substitute greens and suspended some salads.

(82,849 posts)Let's see how responsive the Trump administration is to this public health concern. Donald doesn't look like he's much of a salad eater (though I could be wrong), so it wouldn't surprise me if this doesn't get too much attention. Now, if people were keeling over from contaminated spray tan products, that would merit an all-out response.

(16,337 posts)also, wouldn't all of the contaminated stuff be off the shelves by now?
Personally I'd like to wait for the all clear notice.

(15,805 posts)Hes been eating a lot of salads lately and is in a state where there have been illnesses from lettuce.
He was pretty convinced he had e.coli. Hes 18, and away at college for the first time. I told him to keep hydrated and try some OTC meds. Oddly, thats what urgent care told him too. But, they tested him for appendicitis and e.coli.
I havent bought lettuce since the outbreak. Im growing some greens but they arent quite salad material on their own. Im going to buy some lettuce starts this weekend to grow some.
