6. It's a ruse to humanize Trump.

I dimly remember reading something similar in some book.

Crazy mom does something horrible to kids, kids have to relive trauma in court when testifying for prosecution against mother, kid begins to cry on stand when prosecutor begins his questioning, Mom yells out at prosecutor to *sob* "leave kid alone," trying to make everyone think "Gee, what a caring Mom." "Maybe she isn't guilty of those horrible things she on trial for."

Or maybe it was a TV show...

Anyway, this leave Ivanka alone crapola stinks of that.
