Love Popeye's. It's been our go-to since I learned of Bigot Fillet.

After trying it in a few places outside of New Orleans, I found it was never quite as good....

until I tried it again in Los Angeles. Perfect!

The sides are never as good, but the chicken is.

And now I have one more reason to buy it whenever I can!!

Popeye's is pretty good. I'm sure the chickens didn't have a vote.

I don't eat poultry (piscatarian...), but even though I do a pretty decent red beans and rice myself, I sometimes drive the five miles or so over to the nearest Popeye's for theirs, along with some biscuits. Nom, nom, nom...

Obama in 2008:

I know some of y'all got that cold Popeye's out for breakfast. I know. That's why y'all laughing. You can't do that. Children have to have proper nutrition. That affects also how they study, how they learn in school

Popeye's is pretty good and certainly better that Lee's, KFC, or Chick-Fil-A.

So much better than KFC or Chick-filla. Also their Cajun fries are really good.

1/4 white meat, yucca fries, and black beans for about $6... tasty and fresh. It's past at least 3 other chicken joints (including Chick-what's-it's-name), but worth the extra couple of miles.
