Law is heavily dependent on precedent, and most judges will tend toward not overturning prior decisions. That's why it is so hard to overturn bad decisions. Political parties tend to matter less than more in the grand scheme.

Having said that, I am deeply concerned about what the Repub party has been doing to the Federal Judicial System these last few years, fast tracking Trump appointments after sandbagging Obama appointments. This has been going on for decades, you can track it from when Repubs first started whining about "liberal activist" judges.

He spews out lies and misleading statements time and time again and polls show that increasingly more people believe his B.S. Most of the media don't do a darned thing to stop it.
