LOL! One day on the job and Trump already threw Giuliani under the bus

He didn’t even bother to tweet it either. It was an impromptu live press statement. Hahahaha!

He said Giuliani didn’t know what he was talking about because he’s new to the job.

If you mute the sound it’s easy to see who the apologist pundits are. They look like This —>

I feel like dancing! 💃🏼🕺 🎉🎊

Like I always say, Republicans hire the worst attorneys and their ignorance and contempt for the rule of law will be their undoing...if not we might all be really fucked.

of throwing people under them. Rudy's trip to the undercarriage happened even sooner than I expected. Of course, what really happened was those old reprobates got together and concocted a story they thought would encourage Cohen to keep his lips zipped (although it's probably too late), but then when everybody freaked out about how Rudy had just torpedoed Spanky's case (maybe they should have thought of that beforehand), of course Rudy got shoved to the pavement. It will be interesting to see where they go from here.

they should hammer SHS with two questions, no matter how much she tries to evade them:

1) What *specific* statements that Giuliani made is Trump claiming are not factual?

2) Trump said he started yesterday, Giuliani's timeline was different, when exactly -- what date -- did Giuliani start working for Trump?

Trump walks back Giuliani: 'He'll get his facts straight'

President Donald Trump said Friday his new lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, is "a great guy" and "he'll get his facts straight."

Giuliani also said three US prisoners would be freed from North Korea on Thursday, but as of Friday morning no administration officials were confirming that.

"He's learning the subject matter. He's going to be issuing a statement, too," Trump said of the former New York City mayor, on the White House South Lawn. "He started yesterday. He'll get his facts straight."

but I’m confused by your use of it in context. I’m not sure I understand what it means even after reading quite a few definitions. I think it means taking away from something, or doing the opposite of bringing together.

Can you please edify me?

15. An ablative is something that takes damage...

And is even destroyed by it in order to protect you from it.

An example is the ablation shield on a spacecraft. It is designed to burn up on reentry in order to absorb all of the friction heat with the atmosphere and protect the astronauts inside from a fiery death.

In this case, Giuliani would be acting as an ablation shield for Trump. Giuliani can take the heat for his own true statements, while Trump can pretend he doesn't know what he's talking about, and the press will leave Trump alone.

I had read the definition of the space craft shield but I didn’t make the connection. I looked at lot of links too.

You’re explanation is great. Easy to understand. The word is now added to my lexicon. I love it when that happens!

they're both narcissistic maniacs used to getting away with every damn thing?

i don't doubt that giuliani had already discussed what he would say with trump, i really don't. then it was damage control because it could not be denied any longer that trump is lying his ass off about this whole clusterfuck. best guess by me says they underestimated the uproar over that.

so just as Papadoulous was just a waterboy, giuliani just started yesterday. trump thinks he can change the past by changing his story. what's really frightening is the large number of people who agree with him.

24. It just means crazy

But it’s more poetic than using loca.

I’m kidding. Originally in Latin the word Luna was the name of the goddess of the Moon and it has always been believed to be representative of feminine energy or Yin energy. In old English
and French it meant Moon struck as in change in behavior that people thought coincided with the phases of the Moon. Then it evolved into the description of one with lucid intervals and it was Teddy Roosevelt who coined the phrase lunatic fringe.

The Moon is also considered mysterious and mercurial because of it phases and how much power it has over the tides and animal and plant behavior. It also has a mysteriousness that no amount of science seems to dissipate. The lore of the supernatural world connected to the night and the Moon is still strong because it’s kept alive by popular horror movies even though we rarely think about it because of our ability to ignore it since we can turn the lights on with a flip of a switch. We hardly even think about it anymore and we’ve forgotten how immensely important it’s been for humans throughout history.

In the world of symbolism the Moon is special because of its multilayered meaning. Add that to a somewhat twisted sense of humor and I came up with lunatica.

Granted, the Trump base have caused the strong resurgence of the phrase “lunatic fringe”, but hopefully they’ll be gone soon and they can return to the underside of the rock they came from
