Of course, some Judges are just a-holes to everyone. Hope Judge Ellis isn't one of those.

...might be hard to rule in Manafort's favor without some controversy over these statements. That was my first thought when I heard him.

If he really had an axe to grind, he'd be better off muting the Brietbart-speak and just ruling with a narrow opinion.

he has the facts. Remember, this is a all new territory for our country since the Kangaroo Trials of the 1950's.

We might well see a Treason Charge emerge. And the State of Virginia has several cases coming after Mueller finishes with Manafort in Federal Court.

based on the comments i read i figured he may be near senile and was probably a full blown trump cultist, and the case was either lost or headed for an appeals court.

Did he recently become black?

Damn. Those KKK types worried about shifting demographics are gonna really freak out when they find out that white judges are spontaneously turning black.

This sounds like not just a plausible argument but a GOOD argument. I just hope it's true.

but I heard this morning on CNN that the defense could have agreed to consolidate the cases in D.C. and they chose to sever and have a portion decided in Virginia as they anticipated a more favorable ruling from this judge, so I do not believe he grilled the prosecutors because he is on their side. Would appreciate anyone having more details and I will research as well.

It seems that ruling in Manafort's favor, at this point, would be tainted by his open speculation against the motives of prosecutors. That's worth discussing.
