This afternoon, Jones was speaking with a guest on his show when he declared that we are living in an information apocalypse where global elites want to keep you in-the-moment confused. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, he claimed that Trump is working with a group of people to defeat an automated intelligence computer program set on destroying humanity.
This is already an A.I. system that made the decision to have a post-human world and Trump has jumped in with others and are saying, No, were not doing it, at the elite level, Jones said.
He quickly moved on, unfazed, and added that global elites are really pissed about Infowars questioning the next false flag, referring to his networks infamous tendency to claim tragedies are staged events.

On Thursday, Alex Jones welcomed a guest to talk about how kidnapped children have been sent on a two-decade mission to space. NASA now denies the interplanetary conspiracy.
On Thursdays program, the InfoWars host welcomed guest Robert David Steele onto The Alex Jones Show, which airs on 118 radio stations nationwide, to talk about kidnapped children he said have been sent on a two-decade mission to space.
We actually believe that there is a colony on Mars that is populated by children who were kidnapped and sent into space on a 20-year ride, said Steele. So that once they get to Mars they have no alternative

When did we start off-worlding them to our secret base on Mars?!?

A HERETIC I AM
(24,365 posts)I drove a team trip cross country with him a few times and he was a listener, and more importantly, a BELIEVER of almost EVERYTHING Alex Jones said.
I tried to explain how absurd the idea was, and that if the government really wanted to set up "camps" they can do so quite quickly in the middle of nowhere instead of using abandoned stores in the middle or even the edge of large towns (Witness the Japanese internment camps of WWII).
He had all sorts of dopey bullshit in his head, including the stupid "Fema Coffins" nonsense, which I had to show him proof that what they were referring to were just run of the mill grave liners, stockpiled by the maker (because once you get a large injection molding machine fine tuned, you let it fucking run), as well as the idea Jones promoted about the military exercise "Jade Helm" was supposedly intended to start Martial Law in Texas!
But no....there was no shifting him. There is a monster under every bed and in every closet. That's what Jones convinces his gullible listeners of.

(58,785 posts)disorders has a disposition to paranoia and conspiracism in common. Many millions have "traits of" a personality disorder, without their being so strong and chronic that those with them are unable to hold a job most of the time or develop a long-term relationship (disorder).
It's so common. As we've grown older, we now know several people who refuse to take really needed medications prescribed by their physicians, every one of them insisting that he or she almost died from prescription drugs, usually more than once, and most putting dangerous faith in alternative therapies that have never undergone clinical testing and are completely unregulated.
And of course they're all science deniers to strong degree, since science has a way of offering "establishment" answers they can't accept. Most have an unsurprising preference for Dark Ages wisdom of mystic and often evil forces, although education and background affect how that plays out. Extreme herbalism, naturopathy, astrology, that "what goes round comes round" thing without having to actually study religion, and shallow dipping in feng shui seem to be considered respectable paths to wisdom by more "sophisticated" types. Others have Infowars.

(22,976 posts)But it happens all the time-- we've seen it, personally. Apparently, they have NO critical-thinking capacity to begin with, or one that's tissue-paper thin and vulnerable to suggestion.
It seems that too many individuals are so emotionally fragile that they just give up their will and judgement completely, and buy into the craziest "ideas" that float by. And the more they listen to the the Alex Jones-types, the deeper in they get. They form a substitute identity out of this garbage, which smacks a bit of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers."
Is their any hope for these people? They can't afford (nor would they want) de-programming. They're going to be crazy for the rest of their lives.
