It was the Democrats in a lame duck congress that extended the bush tax give aways for the uber rich.

Obama can talk like a liberal but can he act like one when push comes to shove? What about that NAFTA on steroids super secret "trade agreement", the TPP, he is pushing? What about all those other trade agreements Obama has signed?

But we liberals really have no choices. You can't vote for the biggest embarrassment in foreign policy since the bushes. If your vote gets counted at all.

Yet, Obama can sure talk a good game.

He is a "Billionaire!?", that's the fact that he is -hiding. He wants everyone, especially-"you people" to think that he's just a "Millionaire", when the truth is, that he "is" a "Billionaire" and no one in America is ready to elect as President of the US a "Billionaire". Period.
So, as the saying goes about pulling wool, that all that he is doing-pulling wool-to blind everyone to the fact, that in fact, he is a "Billionaire". Hint: refusal to release more than those two years of tax returns( that's a flute) , as his daddy once said.

but wouldn't have the same pushback. For all of his faults, he actually built a business that employs people. Willard built his bank accounts as a vulture capitalist, throwing people out of work and putting their pensions on the back of the US taxpayer (PBGC) while he siphoned off every dime.

How can they be thinking this would fly? Usually they just give huge tax cuts to the rich and give tiny ones to the rest of us to make it palatable for their base. How can they be thinking this would not cause trouble for them?

Are the Republican supporters really willing to pay more on their taxes so the rich can have it "more fair" in America?

Wed Aug 1, 2012, 06:24 PM

He didn't have the steel ones to pay for it by eliminating the deductions for primary mortgages and health insurance/care costs. He was riding in on Clinton's surplus - so was harder to frame against him.

Rmoney's tax breaks for the "job creators" are offset by the elimination of those deductions.

Thu Aug 2, 2012, 03:12 AM

who donates 10% of his fortune to charity. That's more than what some Christians pay as a tithe to their church (10%). 15% is indeed very generous

Let's also say that on the other hand we have 10,000 working moms, each of whom has $20,000 in her bank account, and each of whom donates 50% of her life savings to the same charity.

WOW, 50% is a huge amount! Those moms are fucking CRAZY GENEROUS!!! That's HALF of everything they've saved up over the years.

But the billionaire has donated $150 million, and the 10,000 moms have collectively only donated $100 million.

Are you saying that the billionaire is being MORE generous than the working moms? 15% is better than Half?

Really?

Oh, and another thing, after 50 years the rich have had to pay less and less taxes and if you'll notice, our middleclass has faded and so has the fucking American Dream! Grow a brain or buy one.

And there will be no false accusation will coming from Mitt the Twitt. The Debates will be nothing you hear them say on the campaign trail is my point.
