The unemployment rate of 3.9% is pure bullshit.

Remember how Trump used to claim that the Obama administration was manipulating the unemployment rate. Back then everyone said that there was no manipulation, and that the people who worked there are not political. Well for the first time in my lifetime, I don't believe the unemployment rate that was reported yesterday. The April jobs reported was 164,000 jobs added. The Wall Street expected jobs number was 193,000 jobs added and as a result the Unemployment Rate dropped dropped from 4.1% where it had been since October 2017 to 3.9%, and everyone cheered. (Not so fast.) Average earnings rose 4 cents/hour.

So I'm watching Friday's CNBC's Closing Bell and there was a discussion about the Unemployment rate and why in spite of the decline in the Unemployment rate, and the largest cut in the tax rate, we are not seeing any measurable increase in wage earnings in spite the "lowest unemployment rated since 2000" according to the guest. The CNBC hosts were at a loss to understand why there is not a more demonstrable increase in wages with the unemployment rate being so low. Well the guest went on to say that "this is lowest unemployment rate millennials have ever seen. This means that millennials, people graduating from high school, have never seen a lower unemployment rate in their entire lifetime." He continued on blowing more smoke up the host's ass about how good this economy was while refusing to provide any explanation to her questions as to why we don't see the expected increase in wages with unemployment being this low. So the guest then says, in frustration, "What are you talking about? Those 193,000 people who got jobs last month ALL received a wage increase?"

I was shocked with his response and the hosts seemed to be as well, so I backed up my DVR to see who this guy is talking this bullshit. Turns out his name is Hal Lambert, Point Bridge Capital Founder, Fmr Credit Suisee Director, Served on Trump Inaugural Committee, and Fmr Texas GOP Finance Chair. As a Trump lacky, I don't trust anything he says because they ALL lie, and now I don't even trust the unemployment numbers. He's a Trump lacky feeding us more bullshit by saying that everyone of those 193,000 who got a job last month got a wage increase. While i trusted the data reported by the Dept of Labor, under Obama, I don't trust anything put out under Trump because his cabinet members are all lackeys for Trump. Also, this is the message that you can expect that they will be running on this fall. Lowest unemployment rate since 2000, lowest taxes, increased wages even though we know that is bullshit.

I also saw a recent poll that said that Trump's approval rating for handing the economy is over 50%. As a party, we had better get our shit together or that talk of taking back the House and possibly the Senate is nothing but a pipe dream.

Before they learned how to corrupt these numbers for themselves to look good with. Again we see them doing exactly what they accused others of doing. Trump and his minions do this a lot, lie false claims after pressuring the regular people who produce these numbers to change them for them , or they'll be next leaving their jobs too. Corruption running wild out of this White House.

The work force in the U.S. has shrunk ..... there are more aging baby boomers who are retiring, and fewer women in the work force now, according to an article from the NYT.

"A lot has changed since the turn of the century. The share of working-age women in the labor force began to fall in 2000, after increasing for decades. Men have been dropping out for much longer. The upshot is that a smaller share of people are participating in the labor market, and it’s easier to get low levels of unemployment when fewer people are vying for jobs."

"The population is also older than they used to be, on balance. The baby-boom generation has moved steadily toward retirement over the last two decades. And those still working have not helped push wages up. Generally, workers climb the economic ladder fastest when they are young, and so an older work force may weigh on average wages, economists say."

Not sure why fewer women are entering the work force, unless it's because of the Draconian family leave policies or nonexistent family leave policies most companies offer, making it nearly impossible for a woman with children to work full time or get ahead in a career.

based on some of the things that guy had said on CNBC, but I look forward to reading this NY Times article. I had read that the participations rates were much different just as recent as 2000 than what they are today so the rates aren't comparable when you consider how many more people were in the workforce just that short time ago 2000. Expect the Trump admin to be playing with numbers and trying to sell the country a bunch of crap the closer we come to November; and if we're not prepared to combat their lies (and there will be lies) they might just keep the House and the Senate.

The truth is, it's not hard to scale a 10-foot wall when the previous President boosts you up 9 1/2 feet!

Thanks, Obama!
