I grew up around men they went off to save the world. my great uncles , when They came home those who survived were steel mill union workers, raised families on wages. They were hunyaks slang or slander meant Eastern European garbage immigrants I say that out of humor because I’m a hunyak. They were children of immigrants my great grandparents. Who came to America from Ukraine escaping from civil war. That generation saved the world from facist.

I say this I was infantry 84-87 and I’m thankful ,I never had to fight for my skin. As I’m older I appreciate and respect those men. Going ashore in South Pacific or D day In landing craft or a c-117 heading to drop zone catching 88 flak as paratrooper hot flak burning glowing inside the c-117 your on . It is a one way ride because most fast it is going to get bad real fast. Those young kids thinking I’m probably gonna get it. And fuck me im 18 and never got laid.

Today we have scumbags who support trump. And hate replacing the Jew hate with Mexicans. Hitler talked that my people were inferior Eastern Europeans. I find it amusing that 3 hunyaks who served kicked shit out of third Reich.



But if those men were around today I would be embarrassed. As with the scum we have in congress and Oval Office. What would or can we say , I know I understand but it got fucked up along the way.

6. Well TEB just yesterday I saw a B-17 flying around

We have one here in Denver (I forget exactly where it is stored), and every year they fly it a few times. Anyway, as I was staring at it, I couldn't help but imagine what the people in the plane were thinking. Are they pro-Rump? Do they realize the machine they are flying was used to defeat the exact same people who are running this country now? They charge money to take people up. $450 for 45 minutes. Why? These people want to live out the fantasy of flying in a WWII plane, but do they make any connection to the present? And I know you are talking about immigrants fighting the war, but your post got me to thinking about that damned plane.
