Scheiderman's ex-wife says she doesn't believe the allegations.

This whole situation is awful.

Schneiderman's ex-wife Jennifer Cunningham issued a statement on Monday, calling the allegations inconsistent. Cunningham is a former lobbyist and worked as Schneiderman's media and advertising director in his campaign bids for attorney general in 2010 and 2014.

“I’ve known Eric for nearly 35 years as a husband, father and friend. These allegations are completely inconsistent with the man I know, who has always been someone of the highest character, outstanding values and a loving father. I find it impossible to believe these allegations are true," she said.

before he was in public office.

Schneiderman engaged in this behavior not only WHILE he was in office, but while he was working on highly sensitive, high profile, critically important work. He should have known he'd be targeted and needed to be Cesar's wife. Instead, he not only treated women like shot, he left himself wide open to exposure and blackmail.

to resolve this, unfortunately. Even if he's innocent, there would be a lengthy process before he's vindicated.

He may have done it with others.

She also may be protecting him out of family loyalty and for their child(ren).

This is just awful.

But he claims it was consensual and the women say it wasn't.
