Without commenting on guilt or innocence

In less than 6 hours a good democrat was accused, called on by multiple people to resign, resigned his office AND I have seen his resignation quoted as proof he was probably guilty. Can anybody else see a problem with this?

And there is also the danger of being more enamored with the individual than the cause. And the hazard of fighting unnecessary fights which sap your reserves without benefit.

If the pursuit of justice which the rat-f*ckers wanted to derail can continue without the target of their rat-f*ckery, then to me the pursuit of justice takes precedence over the righteousness of the individual (which at this point, in this case, to me, is not at all clear).

It's a lot muddier when their hit-job (if it is indeed a hit-job) is able to derail justice in *that* case. It is not comfortable to have to choose between justice in *this* case and justice in *that* case.

...and the guy just had to get out of the way rather than stay and try to fight the allegations. If it weren't for the situation with Trump he might have been allowed to hang around and try to clear his name. I think some powerful people told him he had to go or he saw the writing on the wall.

we need to give the guy a chance to defend himself in court before destroying his life based on accusions.

Seriously, this is being abused and is hurting our party.
