I'm sure that this program, that provides essential healthcare for millions of children, was the prime target all along since Hillary was the one largely responsible for its creation.

1. While I think a lot of Republicans are just as cruel as Trump, this would be suicide for midterms

and the fact that they passed CHIP renewal with relatively little dissent in that bill, tells me that they know it. Trump is posturing. Even McConnell has told the WH they will not hold a vote to claw back some of that spending. But it is abhorrent nonetheless and surely some nasty Rs will laud Trump for it.
