The East Wing of the White House lashed out at journalists for reporting on how First Lady Melania Trump copied her “Be Best” anti-cyberbullying guidelines from Barack Obama’s administration.

Stephanie Grisham, the communications director for the First Lady, issued a statement on Tuesday morning that blasted news organizations like Raw Story who covered the scandal.

“After giving a strong speech that was met with a standing ovation and positive feedback, the focus from opposition media has been on an eduction booklet, ‘Talking with Kids About Being Online’ produced by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in 2009,” Grisham said. “Despite providing countless outlets with ample background, and on-the-record comments from the FTC, some media have chosen to take a day meant to promote kindness and positive efforts on behalf of children, to instead lob baseless accusations towards the First Lady and her new initiatives.”

Grisham added, “I encourage members of the media to attempt to Be Best in their own professions.”
