Palin: Hearing that McCain regrets picking me for VP is a 'perpetual gut-punch'

Sarah Palin said Thursday that Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz.) admission that he regrets picking her as his running mate in his failed 2008 presidential bid is "like a perpetual gut-punch."

The former Republican vice presidential nominee said the senator's recent remarks were "not what Sen. McCain has told me all these years, as he's apologized to me repeatedly for the people who ran his campaign," she told the Daily Mail before speaking at a pro-Trump PAC fundraiser.

In his upcoming memoir, “The Restless Wave: Good Times, Just Causes, Great Fights, and other Appreciations,” the 81-year-old senator laments not selecting former Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.) as his vice presidential candidate.
McCain still gives Palin high marks for her work on his campaign.

"I attribute a lot of what we're hearing and reading regarding McCain's statements to his ghostwriter or ghostwriters," Palin told the Daily Mail, saying she would have to hear from McCain herself.

Palin?

I remember when she was on top of her scam-propaganda game at fauxsux and I couldn't wait until she was over.

Looks like that day has arrived.

anything about you. If you had remained Alaska's problem instead of being foisted on the rest of us, the world would have been a lot better place. Just knowing you existed gave the world indigestion. You still do.

Branch, Twig, Track marks, and the rest of your mavericky named kids probably would have behaved exactly the same way in the spotlight or not, but the rest of us would have been spared knowing how close you came to having family rumbles at some D.C. pub.

McCain should regret you - and he should apologize to the rest of us for even entertaining the notion of you.

s governor, the council had signs and bumper stickers asking "Where's Sarah?" Even the barstool with her name on it at the local watering hole missed her scrawny arse.

That warms my evil little heart.

Secondly, I think Palin is absolutely lying when she said he has continually apologized to her for the people running his campaign. Her deflecting that onto his ghostwriters is classic Caribou Barbie.

Lastly, the final seven words of the second paragraph show exactly why he regrets picking her. I'm glad the reporter was cagey enough to include it and the irony and subtlety of it surely escape her.

You would have to Ray Charles not to see the direct lines of relationship and causality between her and the current POTUS.

It was a careless empowering of the airheaded Right, and a shortcut to the Trump presidency. All because tired old McCain couldn't generate telegenic excitement.

That Palin's allegedly providing "fresh ideas" was a lie is proven by how she was discarded, and by how she has failed to learn a goddamned thing since the day she demanded someone tell her what the VP's job is.
