generally speaking, an attorney acts as an agent of the person who hired them.
if you talk to my lawyer about my case, you're really talking to me.
if you give something to my lawyer relevant to my case, you're really giving it to me.

you might have legitimate business regarding other cases, and yes, that would not be any of my business.
but in this case, the subject line and content of the message clearly indicate that this was all pertinent to stormy's case.

it strikes me as highly unusual and suspicious that any party would place restrictions on the other party's ability to switch counsel or to bring additional counsel into the case.
