White House chief of staff John Kelly, made highly offensive comments about immigrants during an interview with National Public Radio on Friday.

Kelly said immigrants are: “not people that would easily assimilate into the United States into our modern society.”

Jennifer Mendelsohn, looked up Kelly’s ancestry to prove to him and the rest of America that we all come from immigrants. Mendelsohn found out through a 1900 census bureau that Kelly’s great grandfather lived in America undocumented for 18 years and could not “read, write, or speak English.”

She revealed her findings on Twitter:

He surely has been out and about in the DC area, where I live. Recent immigrants here, generally, are very hardworking and have “assimilated” just fine, even those with lesser education, who are quite busy as painters, electricians, builders, etc., etc. Try looking around with open eyes, General.

Even the truest of American natives didn't (and still don't) "assimilate" well with the Caucasian invaders. To this day, we have more respected treaties with nations that don't deserve a DIME of my taxes - and yet our native American populations are STILL being driven farther and farther into niche plots of nothingness.

15. Kelly's Italian? There was a time when the Anglo-Saxons hated Italians

and felt they were bringing crime, murder, and disease, and were not even considered white back than. From his last name, he's probably Irish too. And there was a time when "No Irish Need Apply" was a thing. And then they claimed it was a self-fulfilling prophecy where they blocked the Italians and Irish out of honest jobs so some had to turn to crime just to feed their kids.

It should be noted that a lot of immigrants and children of immigrants have served in our armed forces. Which are currently around 40% non-white. Kelly may have been around the mostly white officers for most of his career but many of the enlisted personnel serving are not white.
