Huffington Post is making a documentary on this year's female candidates

urning PA blue is one of our big goals this November. We need to net some seats here to flip the House at the Federal level. We will surely do so, thanks to the State Supreme Court striking down some of the most egregious gerrymanders of all time.

Alas, the state leg. is still gerrymandered in favor of Republicans. And to add insult to injury, the Keystone state is 49th out of 50 in female representation in elected office.

Right now the GOP has a veto proof supermajority in the State Senate. That has to end this year. We can do it, especially in Democratic trending and growing Southeast PA.

One race that has garnered some national attention is Democrat Katie Muth running in the 44th Senate District against Republican party hack John Rafferty. Rafferty is fresh off his loss to Josh Shapiro in the 2016 contest for State Attorney General.

Muth is one of the subjects of a “Huffington Post” documentary on women who were uninvolved in politics and are now running for office. The documentary highlights the amazing amount of work and sweat equity Muth and others have put into running for office. This is truly inspiring. They are out every day knocking doors, going to events, organizing events all in order to make voter contact.

Muth even showed up in New York recently for a press event for the film.

As the film shows, Muth’s diminutive size should not fool anyone. She is a tough and aggressive fighter for the progressive agenda, and is willing to fight to her last breath for it.

We have already flipped 40 seats nationwide since a Tuesday in November of 2016, we would all like to forget. If we want to flip more we need fighters. Too often we Democrats have acted liked kicked dogs constantly cowering in the corner. We need to fight back.
