5. I'm thinking Trump's treatment of McCain will cause Trumper Repubs trouble in Arizona.

No doubt many Arizona Republicans have a damn sight more respect for McCain than Trump.

They'll either have to distance themselves from Trump or be as obsequious towards Trump as Mike Pence. It's a lose/lose; either way their election or reelection prospects will be tougher.

6. I might be the only DUer that ever voted for McCain

When he was running against Bush in the GOP primary. I knew W was a bad idea and Gore was a lock in my state. I registered GOP and cast my vote for McCain in that primary.

Trump will dis him on the day he dies and the day of his funeral by making it about himself.

When he goes to Arizona to campaign in 2020, he will bad mouth McCain then too.he can't help himself
