Reich was on Bill Maher Fri night but he could barely get a word in edgewise. He tried to talk about a real idea/plan and I would have liked to know about it but he kept getting interrupted.

The Trump coalition IS the GOP coalition of the last 40 years. Nothing new here. Racists plus billionaires.

The major error is thinking that coalition has a majority. Before Trump, the sane GOP knew they needed more votes than racists to win. They needed some centrists. So they needed to hide the racism.

Now, just because Trump won by a whisker, badly losing the popular vote, after major anti democratic voter suppression, gerrymandering, and republican and Russian propaganda, the GOP thinks they have a majority? They are completely living in fantasy land.

Courting the racists is killing the GOP with the other 70% of the country, as Ferret says. The GOP will never win another national election. They are trying to turn billionaire money and voter suppression up to 11.

It. Will. Not. Be. Enough. Not even close.

And the secret weapon for Dems hasn’t even been mentioned yet- the youth vote. Under 30 turnout is WAY WAY WAY up. And those voters are overwhelmingly Dem.

Enjoy your majority for another 6 months, GOP. You are dead after that. Your party will never attract a majority again. The GOP is using this coalition because it works for right here and right now. And they are making a MASSIVE strategic error. Huge. Massive.


That said Dems have to have a laser focus on 2018. Organize. Register. VOTE!!!! Turnout is the whole game.
