1. We should stop caring

The Dow is like a national phrenology. You want to remove power from Trump and his ilk? We start treating it like it's just that - phrenology or cutting open a chicken and attempting to divine the future from it's entrails. Using their speculations and whims about how the economy should be is no different.

2. Backing and filling - back to where it was thursday morning....18 trading hours ago.

just my humble opinion.

Market has had 8 straight days up. Haven't seen that since January. At some point, intermediate traders decide they want to put some cash in their pockets. Flush like this could be the start of something big but more often, it's part of a normal ebb and flow.

Maybe lots of "stupid Democrats" took their business across the street to Lowe's.
