This is the DC court ruling, which is good news, but the Eastern Va. Reagan appointee has yet to rule.

Team Mueller seems to be using a 1948 Law that outlines Crimes Against the USA. For those who think Trump can not be held accountable, one only needs to know that this Law is extremely broad.

Bye bye Manafort,Gates,Stone,Trump and his whole Crime Syndicate.

do remember this Law being used during the tail end of the Nuremberg trials, and again during the Kangaroo Courts of McCarthy/Nixon/Cohn days.

Believe a couple of Newsy Types have mentioned using the 48' law by Team Mueller. There again,if it is not in a "hand-out",today's so called Reporters do not have a clue.

Remember the Madman getting all giddy during his NRA address because he thought the judge was going to throw the case out and embarrass the Special Prosecutor?

I mean, I saw this from a mile away--just because judges engage in rough questioning of a party's position doesn't necessarily mean they are going to rule against that party.

But that's not always evident.

Love how this embarrassed Trump.

ON EDIT: This was actually a ruling by Judge Berman in the DC Manafort case. Judge Ellis' opinion in the Virginia case is still outstanding. However, now there's precedent, and Judge Ellis has to either agree with Judge Berman or create a conflict between the two venues.

My misunderstanding notwithstanding, my Nelson Muntz reaction still stands.

The judge who roughed up Team Mueller was a male.

I'm confused.

I jumped the gun a bit.

But Ellis will either have to agree with that rationale, or create a conflict at this point. This ruling creates a legal foundation for Mueller's authority over the Manafort case, so this is still good news.

In the unlikely event Ellis rules against Mueller he could just turn it over to another prosecutor. Manafort isn't contesting the substance of the indictment. He's contesting whether it falls under his mandate.
