(16,906 posts)Mueller has got to b e careful to a point? Pardoning power of RUMP has to be a major concern and THIS has to be done very carefully is my thoughts.

(5,811 posts)the DOJ policy that president's can't be indicted conflicts with Rosenstein's statement when a reporter said to him DOJ policy is that sitting presidents can't be indicted. Rosenstein said this situation is different.

(7,811 posts)any number of ways. Seems like an emergency to me...not necessarily the legal angle but the political one that must go through congress to get resolved.
For instance...getting blackmailed isn't necessarily going to get you indicted but it should get you impeached.

(52,196 posts)in theory, donnie may offer testimony that makes prosecuting others easier.
realistically, mueller shouldn't expect donnie to be cooperative in testifying against himself, even if donnie is the sort of person to sabotage his own defense spectacularly, he is the sort of person to take the fifth or claim amnesia, especially if it's not on camera (hint, it's not on camera).
it's a silly little dance they're both playing that will amount to nothing.
if donnie appears at all, he won't say one damn constructive thing.
no matter, mueller can proceed without it easily enough.
