This is a Georgia high school Tennis team, posing as KKK members, after losing to a black team. They were apparently ‘Big Mad’ at the loss.

Their school should expel them. Not graduate them and if any of them have been accepted to college, then the college should withdraw their acceptance. In this day and age, they should know this is not acceptable. Where were the adults? The coaches? Who took the picture?

Wooten is a 10th grader at the school and says the photo was out of line, but she said she didn't think the students were racist.

"They're not racists, they're really cool people, and they're athletes and they're very smart and they never did nothing to me that was racist," said Wooten.

... er... what? Trying to interpret that phrasing (in the linked tv news item)

Maybe it means: Oh it wasn't racist, necessarily, we don't know what was in their head.... we just know that they posed as violent racists known for physical intimidation of black people.

The kids deserve whatever infamy comes their way. But the parents, and adults in the community who used couched (apologist) phrases like this - are all complicit in setting the tone where this horrible behavior seems ... like something the tennis team should do as they ride home to their school after losing.

20. I lived in Macon for a few years in early 80s. Called my boss in Atlanta, and said "I quit unless

you transfer me back to Atlanta, today." They did. I was traveling to small hospitals in towns with one cruddy motel and little else. It was really awful.
