Has anyone ever been in a crowd at one of these massive royal events?

I have - several times. And they were even bigger than this one. The feeling is hard to explain, other than that the energy is so positive and powerful. I'm actually having flash backs.

I know the Royals are not everyone's 'cup of tea', and there are a lot of nay sayers concerning this wedding, today, but I refuse to let them harsh my buzz.

I'm impressed that the Queen has found her way to 'lighten up' and finally bring the family into the 21st Century. Says a lot about her character. I think her mother's old school influence wasn't as deeply embedded as most people thought.

I grew up near Williamsburg, Virginia and I still recall watching Queen Elizabeth II, in 1957, come down the Duke of Gloucester Street in an open carriage. It was very crowded on Merchant's Square but the crowds let us youngsters move to the front so we could see. The crowd was rowdy and full of energy, but still very respectful. As I age, some memories seem to fade, but this one seems to be staying strong. It's not the queen I remember, but the crowd.

It was a Jubilee year and the crowd filled the entire area in front of Buckingham Palace (I managed to get a spot by the gate) and spilled down the Mall and into the park. This is just a partial photo of the crowd. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my lifetime.
