Could I ask a dumb question? What is the deal with Hillary's e-mails?

Why does the Mad King keep screaming that they need to be investigated?

And the Podesta brother? What is that about.

I can't make any sense out of what he rants anymore.

It is just a BS talking point to distract stupid people from the fact that we have a president and a majority of Republican politicians who are treasonous and corrupt. They don't want to talk about the fact that Mr. Mueller has the goods on them, so they are trying to discredit Hillary (and the FBI and Mueller).

Since then we have learned that 11 of tRump's henchmen used private email servers for official government business including Pence, Bannon, Jarvanka and others.

It was all about smearing Hillary for years before she ran so that she had to fight up from a negative.

RepubliCONMEN.

She had her government emails mixed in with personal emails. So she gave her devices to her lawyers to sort them out. They used a computer program to do so, and then gave the govt. emails to the govt. Someone, not Hillary, on his own initiative decided they didn't need to save the personal ones and deleted them. I can't remember whether they were ever recovered or not, but that's what DT's harping on - her personal emails.

they determined that while she was reckless in her handling of the emails (private server and all that), her actions did not rise to the level of a crime.

What you are hearing from the right is them grasping desperately at straws, because they have nothing. However, they will still hound Hillary to her grave. And afterwards.

they just say "her emails" like email is like "child porn"-- you know, something evil by definition. and if you say, "Trump's aides do the same thing... for that matter, Trump constantly uses his private and unsecure phone," they'll say, "Her emails!" None of this has anything to do with reality. If Trump said, "Crooked Hillary! She eats mushrooms!" they'd all obediently say, "She is corrupt! She eats mushrooms!"

Apparently, Hillary Clinton sent a series of e-mails through her private server during her time as SoS, instead of through the State Department's server. Nothing that hundreds of politicians don't do every single day of the year.

But the repukes latched on to it, knowing that there was no fire to go with the smoke, and fanned it into a conflagration. They held Congressional hearing after Congressional hearing, knowing nothing illegal was going to turn up. But the goal was to get people to say 'Congressional hearing' and Hillary Clinton's name as many times as possible in the same sentence.

The one goal was to de-rail her Presidential campaign. Not national security, not ethics in politics, nothing. Just 'get Hillary.' And that's it.

Do you think after Trump revealed classified information to the Russians on record and in the Oval Office with no repercussions from the repubs that national security had anything to do with their hounding of HRC?

If the Congressional craphounds who did this had lived four hundred years ago, they would have been the fools and idiots who hanged that nice old lady who lived down the street because her chicken laid a funny-looking egg and that meant she was a witch.

I don't think there's a Hell hot enough for these assholes to burn in...

John Podesta was Hillary’s campaign chief. His e-mails were hacked and leaked by the Russians. The Nutso crowd decided there were covert messages and codes in the e-mails that disclosed a satanic sex ring of Washington insiders, which evolved into Pizzagate. The only thing to investigate here is the leaking, and that wouldn’t help Trump a damned bit. They could investigate the crazy but, to what end?

Tony Podesta is a lobbyist whose firm was hired by Manafort to push the Ukraine. Mueller et al. Investigated him last fall re: possible failure to register as an agent of a foreign government. I can’t see how that could help Trump, either, but I suppose he would say Dems do it to, so it’s Ok if I break the law.

Since we can't see them they could be ANYTHING! So he'll repeat over and over again that they're something nefarious and the boogeyman is hiding under that bed and BOY if you only knew...

It's a tactic. And he's a petty, stupid wannabe dictator who's betting he can control the emotions and, if it comes to it, actions of his minions by fear and suspicion by making them absolutely sure Hillary is an evil woman who's the source of all the suffering in the world and those emails surely contain the proof.

Meanwhile she just gave a hopeful, forward-looking speech at Yale that heartened me greatly.

We have to survive him and hope his minions generally aren't motivated enough to do too much damage when he blows up and/or goes down.

8/2016..the same players as we hear today - Gowdy, Goodlatte, Johnson, Chaffetz etc etc..I saved this article from before the election - someone should have been listening...

http://www.newsweek.com/squalid-case-against-hillary-and-her-emails-492017

John Deans summation -

Bottom line: The charges that Secretary Clinton lied to Congress are baseless. While there may be a few technical errors in her testimony, and there may be information that was discovered by the FBI after she testified, there is absolutely no evidence at all that she willfully and knowingly provided false information to Congress.

Ironically, there are more false statements in the letter from chairmen Goodlatte and Chaffetz to the Department of Justice, which are clearly intentional, than the hours upon hours of testimony given by Secretary Clinton.

If these men were ordinary citizens, they could be arrested for making false statements to law enforcement. They lied and played it for a one-day headline, and in doing so performed at the level of banana-republic legislators, if not lower.

Sadly their actions are consistent with the thinking of the new Republican Party leader, Donald Trump, who would be proud of their effort to “Lock her up, Lock her up.”

when the private server was discovered, Hilary was directed to turn over all work emails. She went through them, and deleted the personal emails like prep for Chelsey's wedding etc. So those are the "missing" emails Trump talks about.
