Kellyanne Conway on leaks: It's a few people trying to 'settle personal scores'

Kellyanne Conway thinks the problem of White House leaks has been greatly exaggerated, even though a large amount of news coverage has been built around leaked comments by White House staffers.

"[It's] overblown by the media," Conway told CNN's Brian Stelter Sunday on "Reliable Sources."

A few people in the Trump administration leak to advance their personal agendas, but "hundreds and hundreds" do not, she said.

Conway, counselor to President Trump, did say that some staffers in the White House "like to settle personal scores by talking to the press."

Maybe if Trump wan't such an asshole his staffers wouldn't have scores to settle.

1. Over the past year-plus I've seen several reporters insinuate or state outright

that sometimes leaks from "a senior White House official" are from Trump himself. Others are from Conway, other from Sanders. Their protestations about leaks are rich irony.

Every time you want to understand who is leaking any particular thing from this White House, just ask yourself "who benefits from this leak being reported upon?" and you've got your answer.
