(28,151 posts)I'm not too far from the bottom so most friends are in different socio-economic class. Tho' the other day I was at the other end of the spectrum and that's cool too.
I come from a very comfortable background and have known serious poverty. I am comfortable at the yacht club, the UAW Hall or the food pantry (have been volunteer & recipient). I'm fluent in several socio-economic classes.

(91,965 posts)There is a name for what you are doing, and it isn't nice.
What you consider as sardonic wit is NOT funny or clever at all

(4,035 posts)Please reconsider what you're doing. It isn't clever, and it isn't doing you any favors.

(6,568 posts)One of my bandmates makes well over 100k/yr. My wife and I hardly clear 40k/yr.
My brother-in-law makes around 100k/yr as well, and I go visit them once a month at least.
My ex-uncle is a multi millionaire as well. Used to go to his place regularly as well (he and my aunt divorced when I was a kid, but still lived together until my 20s).

(22 posts)Im solidly middle class and the most recent thing I remember was going to some of my parents friends to help them move...
They are older people and fabulously wealthy though they lived in what Id consider an average house. They are very nice people and rewarded us with some of their stuff including some very nice funiture for our efforts
This is a very interesting poll, and I think will show that people tend to mix with their own class
Thanks and please ignore those bullying you
