there would never be graduation ceremonies. I realize that bullying is a real problem in school, but you can't excuse homicidal behavior by blaming it on being bullied. Besides that, from other reports I've read, the trigger for his actions might have been that one of the dead students had rejected his romantic advances.

they are. One step that might have stopped it would have been if his minor son couldn't simply take his father's guns to school. Not much regret or guilt voiced about this crucial aspect in the article.

If your gun gets “borrowed” and used in a crime, you will be culpable. Same for straw purchasers.

When prison terms start getting doled out to these people, It will have a very significant impact on keeping guns out of the wrong hands.

For "involuntary celibate" - I was surprised that they were bringing that into the conversation. It fits, though if he considered her turning him down as bullying.

Not sure which cable news - I was bouncing around between MSNBC, CNN and HLN this morning.

It's one of the multitude of issues that need to be dealt with which includes holding gun owners responsible when they don't properly store and lock up their weapons.

Sorry dad, you fucked up by having weapons in the house with a struggling teenager. In fact, you are more to blame for his actions by allowing him easy access to firearms.

And whatever you're parenting skills may be, it sounds like you need a refresher course.

The shooter said that, not the father who seems absolutely confused about how his child could have done what he did. AP spun what the father said. He said maybe his son was bullied because, he believes, something had to have happened to turn his son into a murderer.

Your son murdered 10 people that treated him wrong. Ten human beings that had families and friends that will never see them again. That will have only memories of them and unbearable pain for most of their remaining life and your telling us that your son is a victim. Wow. All I can say is, like father, like son.
