Twitter Stunned By Trump's Admission of Why He Demeans The Press: 'This Man Needs To Be Stopped'

During a conversation between PBS NewsHour’s Judy Woodruff and CBS News’ Lesley Stahl at the Deadline Club Awards Dinner this year, Stahl shared an anecdote about President Donald Trump which, in theory, shouldn’t be all that shocking, but in practice, is very shocking indeed.

Before an interview with the then-presidential candidate at Trump Tower, Stahl asked why he insists on discrediting the press, and Trump responded thusly: “I want to demean you and discredit you so that when you do negative stories about me, no one will believe you.”

Is even though Trump knows this is true, he'll turn around and say this is fake news saying Stahl is making this up, and Trump knows his supporters will be dumb enough to believe him.
