1. Where i live there are a couple of idiots that have mounted huge American flags

in the backs of their jacked up pickups... and they drive around town (usually with Trump bumper stickers).

But the flags are ripped and torn from flapping so hard... and usually dirty as well.

Sad to see our flag disrespected like that.

3. Protesting is a great way to honor our country and the flag that represents it.

Standing up for a flag, but not the values of the country it represents, is nationalism - not patriotism.

4. Veterans

Kid Rock was the halftime performer for the SuperBowl in which Janet Jackson's nipple was revealed. As Jackson was getting raked over the coals, I read an op-ed written by a veteran who said people should also be angry at the way Rock treated the American flag. The veteran pointed out that not only did Rock wear a flag as a piece of attire, but at the end of his performance he threw it on the ground like it was rag. So, yeah, a large number of these right wingers do not actually respect the flag.
