(147 posts)If this obstruction of justice and disrespecting the law is not an abuse of power than nothing is.

(3,363 posts)He chose to and likely violated ethical legal standards. He should be disbarred.

(15,805 posts)They're suppose to hold the executive branch accountable for matters of ethics. With everything Trump is up to they're probably all catatonic by now.

(23,297 posts)pulled today is outrageous. And once again, no accountability. What the fuck was the Justice Dept thinking having this meeting??? Im more terrified than ever.

(115,656 posts)that lawyers have to follow, or if he committed a crime. Flood is a very experienced lawyer with a good reputation, though, and I should think he'd have carefully considered his legal and ethical obligations before agreeing to go to the meeting.

(12,344 posts)It would have been illegal for Rosenstein to allow him to stay. The information is classified and therefore he was not entitled to it. Trump could have legitimately fired Rosenstein for it, even though Trump told Flood to go to the meeting.

(5,586 posts)Of all the people in that white house, i'm least threatened by Flood seeing classified information. Flood is a top tier lawyer, with a long history of treating his clients fairly, and representing them to the best of his ability. Including both Democrats and Republicans.

(31,961 posts)It is not unethical to go to a meeting. If the DOJ did not want someone at the meeting they should have said so. No one was holding a gun to their head. From the news coverage it seems he was not in the substance part of the meeting anyway.

(24,128 posts)He did not stay for the meeting but appeared as a show of force (a message from Trump) with Kelly before the meeting officially started.
Bad and obvious political form, but nothing to get disbarred over.

(9,670 posts)Like when he had all of those Bill Clinton accusers show up at the presidential debate to rattle HRC. Typical mob MO.

(35,454 posts)Unlike former New York City Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani and conservative lawyer Jay Sekulow, who represent Trump personally, Flood will be responsible for shielding the institution of the presidency and the White House from legal problems.
