Was what was presented so bad that the Republicans want no part in appearing to help Trump now? I have two theories

1) The Republican's are withholding the information presented from Trump and his lawyers.

2) This is just another obstacle being put in from of the DoJ to see how high they can make Rosenstein jump before he says no and they can try to fire him.

I'm kinda leaning toward #2 - I just don't see Nunes turning coat on Trump at this point.
