I'm officially in remission

and getting ready to go back to work. Thanks to everyone for your support. Reading DU has been one of the things that has kept me sane through treatments and feeling sick. . Glad to be on the mend. It looks like the cancer is on hold for now, and hopefully that will last a while.

Can't forget the day my oncologist informed me that "my waiting room is for sick people and you don't belong." I don't remember leaving, I might have floated out the door.

I'm thrilled for your good news!

And how good that "going back to work" feels like a holiday for you. Do take it easy. No one at work is going to expect too much of you, and you shouldn't expect too much right away either.

It's called the KETO diet. It keeps things from growing in your body that shouldn't be there. It has tons of other benefits also but my original purpose for using it was to keep a MRSA infection down and on the outs. It did that with ease. Its main thing is eliminating processed foods and keeping carbohydrates to a minimum. Just google Keto and whatever else, there is trove out there

stay well, don't work too hard, relax, and remember to enjoy the little things like summer scents and birds chirping and nice breezes and sun shiny days and drops of dew on pine needles and visits with folks you care about, etc.

Also, SUCK IT cancer!

What treatments have done in the last few years. There is even a medication for nausea now.

A friend was just diagnosed, Hysterectomy, but chances are pretty good there will be no need for Chemo. Not a given, but good.

Isn't it amazing, these threads? People flock to them to offer comfort and support, and that's wonderful just in and of itself. HOWEVER, it continues to pay dividends long after the first day or two of posting. You can go back and read through it all, and feel encouraged and uplifted all over again. And usually when you go back to it later, even more people have checked in to add their own good wishes.

It's the gift that keeps on giving, in the truest sense of the word!
